How To Register

You have two ways to register:

1. Online at RunSignUp
2. You can register in person at either pre-race packet pickup or on race day. Click Schedule for more information.

Pricing

1/2 Marathon & 5K participants receive the official race t-shirt, finisher medal, post-race snacks, bib with official chip timing, one free beer at the beer garden (you must be of legal drinking age on the day of the event), awards for overall winners and top three in each age group/relay division, prizes and more.

Kids Race

The Palm Desert 1/2 Marathon & 5K Kids Race is a one-kilometer closed course is kids up to 13-year-olds. Each participant will receive a finisher medal and post-race food.

Group Pricing

New for 2024, we’re offering discounts for groups of five or more. Create a group/team when registering. The fifth person to register as a member of that group/team will immediately receive $10 off of their registration and the first four members will receive $10 back.

Refunds

SOUTHLAND EVENTS DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.

Entry Cancellation

If you have signed up to participate in the race and cannot attend for any reason, you may cancel your registration up to 7 days prior to the race by following the directions here (RunSignUp refers to it as deferring, but you are cancelling). Once you have cancelled your entry for 2024 and registration opens for 2025, you will receive a code for 50% credit for the 2024 Palm Desert 1/2 Marathon & 5K based on what you paid for the 2024 race. For example, if you sign up at the $100 price and cancel, you will receive a code good for $50 toward the 2025 race. You will not receive a refund for the entry fee you paid, as the event has no refund policy (see above).

Transfers

We DO allow transfers from one participant to another up to 14 days before the event. To transfer a confirmed entry in the Palm Desert 1/2 Marathon & 5k from one person to another, follow the directions here. There will be a $10 transfer fee to be paid by the new participant. Please note: cancelling your registration will not result in a refund from RunSignUp or the Palm Desert 1/2 Marathon & 5k. It will be your responsibility to work out payment from the person you are transferring to.

Deferring Entry

The Palm Desert 1/2 Marathon & 5K does not allow participants to defer their entries to the next year’s race. Participants who cannot take part in the event can either cancel or transfer their registrations to another person.

Changing Distances

If you wish to change your distance from the 1/2 marathon to the 5K or from the 5K to the 1/2 marathon, click here for directions. If you transfer from the 5K to the 1/2 marathon, you will pay the difference between the registration fees. If you transfer from the 1/2 marathon to the 5K, you will not receive a refund of the difference between the registration fees.
